Our take
I picked these up because I wanted to build my own adjustable dumbbells without spending a ton. The handles feel solid, and the chrome finish looks decent. Each handle can hold up to 80 lb, which is plenty for most lifters. The threaded collars screw on tight and keep plates secure. My only gripe is the handles are a bit short at 14 inches, so loading heavy might be cramped. Also, the collars are plastic, so they might crack if overtightened. But for $28.30, it's a great value.
